From the recording Town and Tundra

Lyrics

Rocks cast their shadow on time
Waves roll slow, the fog sighs
White rock become bear now alive
Oh the rhythms of the north pass me by

Names on a beach from long ago
Once stood for valour and desire
Dreams lost to the ice so far from home
In lands to them foreign and unknown

Time rolls on with the midnight sun
In endless circles woven and spun
Over waves and the winds and the changing tide
An ancient song and dance before our eyes

Inuit dreams paint this land
Carved stories rest in our hands
of the ancient ones ever on the trail of their game
The rhythms of the north deep in their veins

Inuk child with sparkling eyes
To the beat of the drum your voice flies
How you sing of life, if only we heard what you say
And to know the gift that is a brand new day

Time rolls on with the midnight sun
In endless circles woven and spun
Over waves and the winds and the changing tide
An ancient song and dance before our eyes
