This album pays tribute to a very small piece of the rich traditional Celtic folk repertoire. It's Mostly mellow in atmosphere with a couple driving reels and jigs scattered throughout. A particular highlight are the five Turlough O'Carolan pieces which I arranged, paying tribute to this ancient harpist's massive contribution to the identity of celtic melodies. Overall this album serves to be a historically accurate tribute, aiming to transport the listener to a simpler era. The only piece that is not from the ancient past is one my late first guitar teacher (Fraser Lee) wrote, simply called "A Celtic Song".
