BOTH A Folk and Classical Guitar Album

The Folk Album!!

The Classical Guitar Album!!

I squirrelled away all winter long to produce these two creations above ^^ ! Many hundreds of hours invested into what you see here. Here is a tiny bit of proof of me squirrelling away, recording in a farmhouse in the Laurentians, Quebec:

And now that the winter is complete, the projects are wrapping up, it's off to the high seas once again! This summer I will be heading to Scotland, the Canadian Arctic/Greenland, and Newfoundland/Labrador. The best way to show your support if you like the music is to buy a physical or digital copy of one of my albums from my store. And when you do, let me know what you think!

Expeditions Along Canada's Wild Shores!

This summer I'm embarking on six expeditions with Adventure Canada, playing music and driving zodiacs in Canada's remote regions. And what a time I'm having! I love returning to areas that are the source of inspiration for my music - places (and people) forgotten by time and off the beaten path. New ideas are of course taking root for future tunes and albums. But for now, I'm in expedition mode!

New Video!

I love old music from Quebec - well, old music in general! - so I had to go all out with this one.  I recorded all the parts, minus percussion which was done by Max Senitt, and got my camera gear AND DRONE into action on a cold March day :) Enjoy and share it if you like it!

VINYLS Available!!

My Album from 2023 “The Waters That Bind” has been turned into a vinyl!! I am mailing these out, so…

ORDER A VINYL HERE :)

So because vinyls are just so awesome, it is expensive to produce them (and to ship them apparently!) The price is $40 each for a vinyl, and the standard Canada Post shipping cost comes to $20… But look at how pretty it is :D

New Classical Guitar Video Out

Ya… I'm a music geek. I love many styles, not the least of which is classical guitar music. I'm in love with the concept of craft mastery, and playing pieces of music like this help me get there. Please enjoy :)

Huron Carol

Excited to share that my version of Huron Carol - Actually three versions, in different languages - will be released on December 9th! Stay Tuned!

Also excited to share that Ian Tamblyn laid down some hammer dulcimer for the songs! Woo :)

You will be able to purchase the song here on my website for a low price, or if you're a streamer, stream them anywhere starting on December 9th.

This is Canada's oldest Christmas Carol, and for that reason alone I love it. But it also happens to be hauntingly beautiful, and full of mysterious lore on all fronts. The Jesuit Jean de Brebeuf who composed it was living at the Huron mission in Ontario in 1640 - he wrote the text in Wendat, a language he learned while living among the Huron people. In 1649 he and some other Hurons were ritually tortured and killed by Iriquois.. and the song has lived on and survived the test of time.

Arctic Expeditions!

It's been a cold summer for me, how about you?! I've been performing (and also working as a polar bear guard) up on Arctic Expedition cruises for the company Adventure Canada. I've played guitar on the water and on the main stage of the ship, and probably everywhere in between too :) Here are some music pictures from land of the midnight sun and noon time moon!

Farewell Acadia Video

Enjoy my original song 'Farewell Acadia', A song about the Acadian deportation in Canada through the eyes of someone present at the time. My original footage all comes from the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, the birthplace of Acadian (or Cajun) people.

Video!

A New Video of my Song “The Old Canoe”, off of the new album “The Waters That Bind”!
